Kreta cuff title

The Kreta Cuff Title was a Campaign Cuff Title awarded for those who took part in the Battle of Crete.

The Kreta cuff title was instituted on 16th October 1942, about five months following the conclusion of the battle. The cuff title was considered an award and was given to personnel who made a parachute or glider landing on to the island of Crete between 20th and 27th May, took part in the air campaign over Crete, or were in active service at sea in the Crete theater of operations up to 27th May 1942.

  • Also Of Note: The four campaign award cuff titles consisted of the Kreta, (Crete), introduced on October 16th 1942, the Afrika cuff title introduced on January 15th 1943, the Metz cuff title introduced on October 24th 1944 and the Kurland, (Courland), cuff title introduced on March 12th 1945.
