Major Kurt Gehlson was an Afrika Korps officer serving under Oberst von Graff. He and his superior debriefed the bandaged man they thought was Leutnant Klinger of the Luftwaffe but was in reality British soldier Moffitt. When Troy was captured, Gehlson interrogated him, but then Moffitt, having taken the uniform of Gestapo Sturmbannführer Heinrich Bruder, burst in and shot the Major.
